Most of the effects are produced by textures. Yes, even the light/shadow effects on hikaru and akira's faces because I'm terrible with painting shadows . The weirdly placed hearts and dots are the brushes. What icon program do you use? @_@?
Borders exist on 1-3 because frankly I'm at a loss on what to do with them the cleaned screencaps look weird without borders. I'm glad you think it looks good on the screencaps. ^_______^

♥ Not sure if you remember this, but thanks for the advice on borders. Now I make it a habit to put a faint border around the icon. It DOES make anti aliasing better ! Not all the time, but, well, it works. ^_^ ♥ ♥
